What data does Datadrew pull from ReferralCandy?
Connecting ReferralCandy to Datadrew lets you analyze your referral program's performance alongside your sales data. Datadrew syncs referral data including advocate activity, referral conversions, reward payouts, and campaign performance — helping you understand how word-of-mouth drives customer acquisition and revenue.
Prerequisites
- An active ReferralCandy account (all plans, starting at $59/mo)
- Access to your ReferralCandy profile settings
Step-by-step: Find your ReferralCandy API credentials
- Log in to your ReferralCandy Dashboard.
- Click on your Profile icon (top-right corner).
- Select My Profile.
- Scroll down to the API Tokens section.
- You will see two values: Access ID and Secret Key.
- Copy both values — you will need them in Datadrew.
Good to know: ReferralCandy uses a combination of Access ID and Secret Key for API authentication. Both values are required for the integration to work.
What to enter in Datadrew
- In your Datadrew dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find ReferralCandy and click Connect.
- Paste your Secret Key into the API Key field.
- Paste your Access ID into the Access ID field.
- Click Save to complete the connection.

Note: The Datadrew "API Key" field should contain your ReferralCandy Secret Key (not the Access ID). Make sure you do not swap these two values.

Troubleshooting
- Swapped Access ID and Secret Key? The most common mistake is entering the Access ID in the API Key field (or vice versa). The API Key field in Datadrew should contain your Secret Key, and the Access ID field should contain your Access ID.
- Can't find API Tokens section? Make sure you navigate to Profile → My Profile (not the store settings). The API tokens are under your personal profile settings.
- "Unauthorized" error? Verify both the Access ID and Secret Key are correct. If you recently regenerated either value, make sure to update both in Datadrew.
- Data not syncing? Ensure both fields are filled in correctly. If only one credential is provided, the connection will fail. Allow up to 24 hours for the initial sync.
