How to connect Skio to Datadrew

What data does Datadrew pull from Skio?

Connecting Skio to Datadrew gives you access to your subscription management data, including subscriptions, customers, orders, subscription groups, and billing data. This powers subscription analytics like MRR tracking, churn analysis, subscriber cohorts, and retention metrics in your Datadrew dashboards.

⚠️ Plan requirement: Skio API access requires the Scale plan or higher. Lower-tier plans do not include API access. Check your current Skio plan or visit Skio's pricing page to confirm.

Prerequisites

  • A Skio account on the Scale plan or higher
  • Admin access to your Skio dashboard
  • An active Datadrew account (any plan)

Step-by-step: Generate your Skio API key

  1. Log in to your Skio dashboard.
  2. Navigate to API & Integrations in the left sidebar or settings menu.
  3. Click API.
  4. Click Generate API key.
  5. Give the key a descriptive name (e.g., "Datadrew Integration").
  6. Copy the API key immediately — it is only shown once and cannot be retrieved later.

Warning: The Skio API key is only displayed once at the time of creation. If you lose it, you will need to generate a new key and update it in Datadrew.

What to enter in Datadrew

  1. In Datadrew, go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find Skio and click Connect.
  3. Paste your API key into the API Key field.
  4. Click Save to complete the connection.

Troubleshooting

  • "Unauthorized" or "Forbidden" error: Verify that your Skio plan includes API access (Scale plan or higher). Lower-tier plans do not support API keys.
  • Lost your API key: Skio only shows the key once. If you did not copy it, generate a new key and update the credential in Datadrew.
  • "API & Integrations" not visible: Ensure you have Admin access to the Skio dashboard. Contact your Skio account owner if needed.
  • No data appearing: Initial data sync may take several hours. If data still does not appear after 24 hours, verify the API key is valid by checking the Skio API settings page.
