Step-by-step: Generate your Omnisend API key

Log in to your Omnisend dashboard.

Click the gear icon to open Store Settings.

Navigate to API keys in the settings menu.

Click Create API key.

Give the key a descriptive name (e.g., "Datadrew Integration").

Enable permissions for the following resources:
- Contacts
- Campaigns
- Products
- Orders
- Automations

Click Save to generate the API key.

- In Datadrew, go to Settings → Integrations.

Troubleshooting
- "Unauthorized" error: Verify you copied the complete API key. Omnisend keys are long strings -- make sure you did not accidentally truncate it.
- Missing data categories: Ensure the API key has permissions enabled for Contacts, Campaigns, Products, Orders, and Automations. Without the correct permissions, some data will not sync.
- "API keys" not visible in settings: Only account administrators can view and manage API keys. Contact your Omnisend account admin for access.
- Data sync delay: Initial data import may take several hours depending on the volume of your contacts and campaigns. Check back after the first sync cycle completes.
